Troubleshooting
Pax Autocratica Warehouse Not Working: What to Check
Fix common Pax Autocratica storage and hauling problems by checking Warehouse unlocks, production modes, assignments, transport stations, and resource flow.
This site is an independent fan-made guide and is not affiliated with Multiverse. Pax Autocratica is developed and published by Multiverse. For official information, visit the Steam page and official website.
A Warehouse that appears stuck can have several causes. Check its unlock state, production mode, available haulers, Resource Transport Station, delivery upgrades, input and output flow, then compare your version with the latest Steam patch notes.

Quick warehouse checklist
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm the Warehouse and the function you need are unlocked.
- Check whether the connected production building has created any output.
- Confirm that citizens or soldiers are available for hauling.
- Inspect the Resource Transport Station and its assignments.
- Check whether the delivery upgrade needed for direct Warehouse flow is available.
- Review Order Mode, Stock Mode, or Auto Mode on the relevant building.
- Confirm the destination has room and accepts the resource.
- Read the latest Steam News for assignment or transport changes.
Test one change at a time. If you alter assignments, modes, and building chains together, it becomes difficult to identify which one solved the problem.
Understand the resource chain
The Warehouse is only one part of the flow. Raw materials must be produced, collected, transported, accepted by storage, and then delivered to the next building that needs them.
A stalled chain can look like a Warehouse bug even when the blockage is elsewhere:
| What you see | Likely place to inspect | | --- | --- | | Output remains at the producer | Hauling assignment or transport capacity | | Transport building is idle | Assigned soldiers and available source buildings | | Warehouse remains empty | Unlock, transport upgrade, or delivery route | | Warehouse fills but production stops | Destination inputs or production mode | | Only an old save behaves differently | Recent update notes and save compatibility |
Check Warehouse modes
Steam update notes refer to Order Mode, Stock Mode, and Auto Mode. A mode that does not match your intention can make storage or production appear inactive.
Reopen the relevant building controls and confirm whether you want a one-time order, a maintained stock target, or automated behaviour. Then give the colony enough time and available labour to complete the request.
Check the Resource Transport Station
Steam News connects assigned soldiers with Resource Transport Stations and describes upgrades that can move materials directly toward the Warehouse.
If materials are not leaving a source building, confirm that the station is staffed and that the source belongs to its current transport flow. If the Warehouse is not receiving deliveries, verify progression and upgrades before assuming the storage building itself is broken.
Check workers and assignments
Assignments have been adjusted during Early Access. A unit may be occupied, unavailable, waiting for inputs, or assigned to another part of the colony.
Temporarily simplify the chain: choose one producing building, one transport path, and one destination. Confirm that each step works before restoring the rest of the production network.
Check the current game version
Older videos and discussion posts may describe behaviour from a previous build. Compare their date with Steam News, especially when the issue involves soldier auto-assignment, dropped resources, transport logic, or Warehouse modes.
If the same steps worked before an update, record the version, affected building, selected mode, assignments, and exact symptom before reporting it.
How to report a repeatable problem
Include:
- Game version and save type
- Building and selected mode
- Assigned units
- Resource being produced or moved
- Expected destination
- What happened instead
- Whether reloading or rebuilding changed the result
This gives other players and the developer enough context to distinguish a setup problem from a repeatable bug.

FAQ
**Is the Warehouse confirmed to be universally broken?** No. Similar symptoms can come from unlocks, modes, assignments, transport, storage capacity, or version changes.
**What should I check first?** Start with output at the source, available haulers, Resource Transport Station staffing, and the Warehouse mode.
**Why are resources not moving?** The bottleneck may be the producing building, assignment, transport station, upgrade, or destination rather than the Warehouse itself.
**Could a patch change the answer?** Yes. Assignment and resource-flow systems can change during Early Access, so compare the issue with the newest Steam News.
