Pax Autocratica How to Capture Enemies: Current Capture Guide
Learn the current Pax Autocratica enemy-capture loop, what Capture Rounds do, and which old HP or keybind claims should not be trusted.
This is an independent fan-made guide and is not affiliated with Multiverse. Pax Autocratica is developed and published by Multiverse.
Weakened enemies can be captured with Capture Rounds and dragged back to your base. The current Early Access system is still changing, so exact health thresholds, controls, success rates, and prisoner outcomes should be checked against the latest official update rather than copied from an old guide.

The Surprise of The Year That Shouldn't Work: PAX AUTOCRATICA
Channel: The Singleplayer Squad · Early Access feature
- 00:00–00:43 hybrid framing
- 00:43–01:28 colony-to-expedition loop
- 01:28–02:28 alternating pace
- 02:44–03:25 player fit
- The creator's clearest contribution is the feedback-loop explanation: colony preparation and expedition returns affect each other.
- It distinguishes short-run upgrades from longer-term colony development without providing a complete progression chart.
- Specialist colony-sim or FPS players may want more depth than the hybrid currently emphasizes.
Quick answer
The reliable current loop is:
- Weaken the enemy.
- Use an appropriate Capture Round.
- If the capture succeeds, drag the captured foe back to your base.
The Steam store confirms the first-person capture fantasy, while official Steam News gives the more specific update history. It does **not** provide a stable public table of health thresholds, keybinds, success percentages, or what every captured enemy does after returning to the colony.
What is confirmed right now?
Confirmed
- Weakened foes can be captured.
- Capture Rounds are part of the capture interaction.
- Captured foes can be dragged back to your base.
- The August 2026 official update added three advanced Capture Rounds with higher capture chances against Elite and Boss enemies.
- After a failed capture, the target cannot be killed for a short period; the official note says the Leader's melee attacks can still bypass that limitation. That is a short-lived combat rule, not proof that every later capture attempt will succeed.
Observed or patch-sensitive
Older videos and player guides may show a particular button, enemy-health percentage, animation, or inventory path. Treat those as observations from a specific build until the current game and a current official note agree.
Unknown
The public official notes do not currently give a complete answer for:
- the exact health threshold for every enemy type;
- the exact control or keybind on every input setup;
- the exact success-rate formula for each round;
- the complete prisoner-conversion or base-management flow after a capture.
A safe capture workflow
1. Prepare the round before committing to the fight
Capture Rounds use materials, and the material requirements have changed during Early Access. Confirm that the round is available in the current build before planning a capture around it. If you are missing the input, check the Capture Rounds guide rather than assuming an old recipe is still valid.
2. Weaken the target without finishing it
The store description calls out **weakened** foes. Do not turn an old guide's percentage into a universal rule: the public notes do not document one stable threshold for every enemy, Elite, and Boss.
3. Use the Capture Round when the target is eligible
Use the current in-game action shown for the equipped Capture Round. This page deliberately does not hard-code a key because input details can change and the official public notes do not specify one universal binding.
4. Read a failed attempt correctly
A failed capture is not the same as a successful capture, but the current official notes say the target cannot be killed for a short time after a failed attempt. Use that window to reassess the round, target state, and next action. Do not describe the window as permanent protection or as a guaranteed second attempt.
5. Bring the captured enemy home
The official store description says captured foes can be dragged back to the base. It also describes prison outcomes including fear, indoctrination, execution, and conversion. The exact post-capture steps, available choices, and resulting stats are still a poor place for a fixed guide claim: verify what the current build exposes after the return.
Elite and Boss targets
The latest official capture update specifically mentions higher capture chances against Elites and Bosses for three new advanced rounds. That confirms a direction for choosing rounds, but not a complete tier list. The update does not publish the exact chance values, costs, or a universal “best round.”
Use this rule of thumb:
- ordinary target: use the round available in the current capture path;
- Elite or Boss: check whether an advanced round is available before spending the attempt;
- any target: record the game version if the result differs from an older guide.
What not to copy from an old guide
Do not publish these as confirmed without current in-game evidence:
- “Press F to capture” as a universal control;
- “Every enemy can be captured at 75% HP” as a universal threshold;
- a fixed number of Capture Rounds per expedition;
- a guaranteed prisoner conversion, reward, or job;
- a permanent no-kill state after failure.
These claims may describe an observed build, a competitor's test, or an outdated patch. They are not established by the current public official sources used here.
FAQ
Can I capture an enemy at full health?
The official store description says weakened foes can be captured. It does not support a full-health capture claim.
What happens if the capture fails?
The latest official notes say the target cannot be killed for a short period after a failed capture. The public note does not define every follow-up interaction.
Do I need a special round for an Elite or Boss?
Advanced Capture Rounds have higher capture chances against Elites and Bosses according to the official update. The exact best choice, cost, and odds remain patch-sensitive.
Is enemy capture a finished system?
No. The capture loop is present, but the official update history still describes ongoing changes. Write exact mechanics with a version date and source, or label them Observed/Unknown.
